The Innovative Actions programme coordinated
by DG Regional Policy consists of three
themes:
Regional identity and Sustainable Development
knowledge based regional economies on
and technological innovation and
e-Europe, the information
society and regional development.
The programme funds innovative
projects within the EU regions under the
three themes and three networks were set
up to complement the regional programmes.
The aim of the networks is to facilitate
cooperation and the exchange of experience
between regions and accelerate progress
in the three strategic areas.
Sustainable European
Regions is the network for regions interested
in Sustainable Development and Regional
Identity.
is the network lead by the Tuscany and
Emilia-Romagna Regions and includes 13
regions interested in knowledge based
regional economies and technological innovation.
