SER at the ESDN conference: ‘Sustainable Development
goes Mozart’
SER was invited to participate
at the annual conference of ESDN (European Sustainable
Development Network). ESDN is an informal network
of national practitioners and policy experts working
on SD issues and strategies in Europe.
The 2006 ESDN conference took
place on 1st/2nd June in Salzburg, Austria. Purpose
of the conference was to look at:
 |
Vertical
integration of SD policies across levels of governance
(EU, national, and sub-national) |
 |
Evaluation and peer-review of
SD strategies |
 |
ESDN’s further thematic
and procedural development. |
SER
presented a poster at the conference, illustrating
its activities, outcomes and challenges, and future
working topics. A
pdf-version of the poster can be downloaded here:
and is also available for SER member regions as hard-copy
on request (A1 format).
SER also chaired a workshop on the link between the
EU SDS and the Lisbon process – What are the
options for aligning the Lisbon Strategy and the new
EU SDS in the upcoming implementation process.
Conference outcomes from its various workshops, copies
of keynote presentations and copies of further good-practice
poster presented in Salzburg can be accessed via ESDN’s
web-site: www.esdn.eu.
