General information about the Emilia-Romagna

Emilia-Romagna is a region with an ordinary statue, traditionally ruled by left and since 1995 by centre-left coalitions. Regions, Provinces (there are 9) and Municipalities (there are 341) are local territorial bodies, each of them characterised by a distinct territory and specific administrative powers decreed by the Italian Constitution and by national and regional common laws.
